Forty percent of all homeless in Delaware are members of a family experiencing homelessness. Resources exist for homeless individuals, less so for families. Family Promise is the only shelter in Delaware that has always accepted any family, no matter their size, make-up or composition. They are the gap in services for families experiencing homelessness. Their impact is apparent as we serve more families than any other provider in the state, as they served 44.9% of all homeless families experiencing homelessness last year."

In partnership with Blessing of Hope and Convoy of Hope, The Journey will be distributing over 20K lbs of food. During this event Journeyers who serve will help with greeting, traffic control, holding signs, and loading of cars with food. This is a very family friendly event, and children may participate if supervised by their parent/caregiver.
