Come and help us pack 600-800 Hopetotes for upcoming Code Red Food Distribution events. Each tote packed will contain nonperishable food items and supplies to compliment fresh food items we receive and distribute from one of our resource partners, Blessings of Hope in Lancaster County, PA. This event is family friendly but, children will need to be supervised by a parent or caregiver.
In partnership with Blessing of Hope and Convoy of Hope, The Journey will be distributing over 20K lbs of food. During this event Journeyers who serve will help with greeting, traffic control, holding signs, and loading of cars with food. This is a very family friendly event, and children may participate if supervised by their parent/caregiver.
Join us as we take love on the road! We’re gathering at The Journey and hopping in the shuttle to head to Wilmington for a powerful Lunch With Love Pop-Up Outreach. We’ll be making stops at several key locations—Rodney Square, Christina Park, near the Sunday Breakfast Mission, and more—to hand out prepared lunch bags, offer smiles, and connect with our neighbors who need encouragement and care. What to Expect: • Distributing lunch bags with sandwiches, snacks, and encouraging notes • Engaging with the community through kindness and conversation • A chance to serve outside the four walls and bring hope where it’s needed most *12 seats available on the shuttle; we were unable to secure 2 shuttles for this event but you are welcome and encouraged to carpool in small groups and follow along side us or head out on mission to your desired locations.
Come be the hands and feet of Jesus as we pack 160 “Lunch With Love” bags for our neighbors in need! We’re meeting at The Journey to form an assembly line to make sandwiches, pack lunch bags, and spread God’s love through small but mighty acts of kindness. We’re looking for volunteers to help with: • Assembling sandwiches and packing lunch bags • Writing heartfelt encouragement cards to include in each bag Whether you’re a sandwich master, a note-writing encourager, or just someone with a willing heart—we need you!
Code Red is spreading Love to our community partners who work in the substance addiction field. We will meet at the Journey kids check in area for prayer and direction. Then volunteers will be asked to go out to staff at different treatment settings in the surrounding areas to thank them and give them pre-packaged care bags.
